Bijgaand treft U aan mijn brief aan het Dagelijks Bestuur van het waterschap Brabantse Delta.
De inhoud spreekt voor zich.
Ik vind het zeer betreurenswaardig dat overheden zich vele inspanningen getroosten met slechts marginale resultaten, omdat het wettelijk middel, de waterparagraaf in de toelichting in plaats van in de voorschriften van bijvoorbeeld een bestemmingsplan, niet leidt tot feitelijke implementatie van de in de waterparagraaf vermelde maatregelen.
Ik verzoek U dringend om eventueel in eendrachtige samenwerking met Uw ambtsgenoten te komen tot een zodanige aanpassing van wet en regelgeving dat de waterparagraaf in de voorschriften van bestemmingsplannen wordt opgenomen en daardoor een effectief middel wordt ter aanpak van de wateropgaven waarvoor ons land zich gesteld ziet.
