Goede voorbeelden
Onder het motto “Van Berm tot Bladzijde” hebben achttien partners (bedrijven en overheden) uit de regio Veluwe in mei dit jaar een biomassa-alliantie gevormd. Organisaties als het waterschap Vallei en Veluwe, Rijkswaterstaat en de gemeente Apeldoorn leveren maaisel aan, dat wordt ingekuild. NewFoss uit Uden heeft een techniek ontwikkeld waarmee het maaisel verwerkt kan worden tot lignocellulose vezels. Deze vezels kunnen worden verwerkt tot papier, karton en verpakkingsmateriaal. Papierfabriek Parenco gevestigd in Renkum start eind 2016 een proef om de vezels te gebruiken voor de papier- en kartonproductie. Dat moet in ons mooie Brabant toch ook kunnen!
Bergen op Zoom werkt aan een actieplan om de aanpak van de klimaatadaptatie en de hittestress samen met bewoners en bedrijven vorm te geven. Ik werk daar graag aan mee en speur stad en land af naar goede voorbeelden. Voor mij startte dit project met de eerste bijeenkomst over “water in de tuin”. Ik schreef er eerder over. In de speurtocht naar goede voorbeelden kwam ik een animatiefilmpje tegen van de stad Gent over klimaatadaptatie het bekijken zeker waard.
Een tweede inspirerend voorbeeld wat wij tegenkwamen was een actie bij onze zuiderburen in 2012 waar in 180 steden en dorpen clips werden opgenomen van een lied om burgers bewust te maken van de klimaatproblemen, waarvoor de wereld is gesteld. Wat mij betreft iets om ook in Bergen op Zoom en elders na te volgen. Ter inspiratie “Sing for the Climate” en een compilatie van de 180 opnames.
