OVER WATER – 78
Vorige week heb ik op de Rioneddag mijn zegje kunnen doen over hittestress. Daar heb ik in de afgelopen dagen een aantal leuke reacties op mogen ontvangen. Ook zijn de afgelopen week tal van mailtjes met nadere informatie binnengekomen. Een heel informatieve kwam van Dr. ir. Lisette Klok, onderzoeker/docent Klimaatbestendige Stad van de Hogeschool van Amsterdam met een prachtig overzicht van de gevolgen van extreme hitte in de stad.

Deze week heb ik het recent uitgegeven boekje “Het klimaat past ook in uw straatje” gelezen, een voorbeeldenboek over het klimaatbestendig inrichten van straten en de openbare ruimte. Een mooi initiatief van de Hogeschool van Amsterdam in het kader van het onderzoeksprogramma Urban Technology waarin waterbergen en de aanpak van hittestress hand in hand gaan.
6 februari
Portefeuillehouderoverleg (PHO) met de ambtenaar die de gemeenten Dongen, Oosterhout, Made en Geertruidenberg tot haar aandachtsgebieden mag rekenen.
7 februari
Dagelijks Bestuur met als onderwerpen onder andere: “sloten, oevers en dijken op orde”, bestuurlijke rollen bij calamiteiten, het projectplan EVZ/beekherstel Rillaersebaan, de overdracht van waterstaatswerken, de samenwerking met Argentinië op water governance en het financieringsplan 2017-2018.
In de middag PHO’s over de wateroverlast langs de Winterdijk en Waalwijk, over de boezemkades en de verbeteringen van de regionale keringen en de beleidsaanpak van de overlast van bruine en zwarte ratten.
9 februari
In de middag ben ik naar het symposium van het BouwRegieNetwerk over infrastructuur geweest in het Beauforthuis te Zeist geweest. Op de weg daarna toe kwam ik langs het bedrijvenpark Seyst waar ik deze foto maakte. Een mooi voorbeeld hoe bouwen in de natuur kan op een wijze waarbij zo veel mogelijk met water en de natuurrekening is gehouden. Een compleet grasdak, waarbij het luchtbehandelingssysteem omgeven is met een begroeiing die zomers mooi in blad komt.
Er waren een viertal presentaties/discussies en leefbaarheid leverden mij kennis op die ik bij de discussies over de projecten A27 en A58 in ons eigen werkgebied in kan zetten.
