Mijn einde als lid van het Dagelijks Bestuur nadert en dan wordt het tijd even terug te kijken op de afgelopen 10 tot 11 maanden. Ik nam de portefeuille watersysteembeheer over van Kees de Jong.
Bij de stukken van de jaarrekening – die binnenkort naar het Algemeen Bestuur wordt gezonden – bevindt zich ook een tabel met de financiële gegevens van de projectevaluaties 2022. Van de 19 projecten vielen er acht onder mijn verantwoordelijkheid. Dat waren: de renovatie Keenesluis, vervanging materieel, stedelijk baggeren, renovatie/modificatie kleine kunstwerken, kwaliteitsimpuls legger, cofinanciering plattelandsontwikkelingsprogramma (POP3) water, bestrijding blauwalgenoverlast en het installeren van een bedienpost vaarwegen. Zeven van de acht werden volledig binnen het budget gerealiseerd. Alleen bij de renovatie Keenesluis was er een budgetoverschrijding van bijna 3 %. Bij het totaal van de acht projecten bleven we ruim één miljoen onder het budget.
Natuurlijk is dat niet alleen van mij een prestatie, veel is te danken aan de inzet van het personeel van het waterschap en van mijn voorganger Kees de Jong.
