Klimaat Actieve Stedenband Twente
Deze week heb ik het aardige boekwerkje KAS stromen gelezen met tal van voorbeelden hoe de steden Almelo, Hengelo en Enschede in Twente hun waterproblemen omvormen tot uitdagende waterkansen.
- Een zandwinplas voor koude winning in de zomer
- Waterprojecten die de leefbaarheid van een dorp verbeteren
- Een waterboulevard als opmaat naar duurzame initiatieven en een circulaire economie
- Scheiding van afval- en hemelwater
- Een wijk als proeftuin
- Een app tegen wateroverlast om beelden en feiten makkelijk te melden
- Overkluisde beken weer aan de oppervlakte brengen
- Van kleur verschietende stadsdaken (van rood naar groen)

Vergadering van het DB met als agendapunten onder andere: de samenwerkingsovereenkomst Vitaal Leisure Landschap Hart van Brabant, partiële herziening algemene regels grondwaterwater en de beleidsregel agrarische beregening uit grondwater bij schaarste, ontwerp projectplan Rillaersebaan Goirle. In de middag portefeuilleoverleggen over een wijkinitiatief in Dongen (omlegging Donge) en over het komende bestuurlijk overleg met de gemeente Gilze en Rijen.
6 oktober
Het jubileumcongres 10 jaar Bouw & Infra Park te Harderwijk. Na de opening en een verhaal van de fietsende wethoudster Christianne van der Wal (economische zaken van de gemeente Harderwijk) over de schier onbegrensde mogelijkheden van Harderwijk, was Prof. Dr Tobias Just aan de beurt over stadsontwikkeling. Hij begon in Duits. Maar werd er al snel aan herinnerd dat een accent was toegestaan, maar Nederlands de bedoeling was. Wat volgde was een complete conférence over Nederlanders en Duitsers en hun gewoonten. Degenen die mij kennen weten dat ik erfelijk belast ben met een zekere terughoudendheid als het Duitsers en hun land betreft. Maar deze ‘Duitser’ wist zelfs bij mij warme gevoelens en een lach te kweken. Groot was dan ook mijn opluchting dat het een als Duitser vermomde Nederlander betrof met een prachtige amusante voorstelling. Een prachtige start van een congres.
Daarna was het de beurt aan Joost Nicasie van Areaal Advies met een andere kijk op leegstand en hoe deze aan te pakken, met mooie voorbeelden van hoe verpauperde panden te revitaliseren.
Jan Willem van de Groep was de volgende spreker over de veranderingen en uitdagingen waar de bouwsector voor staat. In zijn ogen: droge voeten, leefklimaat, welvaart, gezondheid en samenleving. Maar vooral goedkoper en beter bouwen. Als sprekend voorbeeld vergeleek hij de ‘kwaliteiten’ van een voordeur met die van een koelkast. Van vele malen duurder tochtgat tot een makkelijk lopende luchtdicht afsluitende lichtgewicht. Hoe betrekken we de ‘Siemensen’ van deze wereld bij de hoognodige innovaties in de bouw?
De middag werd afgesloten door de dagvoorzitter Peter Reijers met een onderhoudend en humoristisch betoog over communicatie en dan vooral gefocust op de verschillen tussen mannen en vrouwen.
In de avond de fractie vergadering van Ons Water/West-Brabant Waterbreed.
