Geacht College,
Recent heb ik bij het Dagelijks Bestuur van het waterschap Brabantse Delta aandacht gevraagd voor de situatie rond het Drongelens Kanaal.
Al meer dan acht jaar voldoet de westelijke dijk nabij Waalwijk niet aan de normen. Wat er nu bij komt is dat er zich in de eerste 200 meter vanaf de Bovenlandse sluis (verder heb ik de dijk niet bekeken) minimaal twee beverburchten bevinden die de veiligheid van het achterliggende gebied verder ondergraaft. Zie in de voorstaande link de foto’s. Ik constateer bij beherende overheden een grote terughoudendheid als het gaat om ingrijpen in situaties waarbij enerzijds de waterveiligheid in het geding is en anderzijds een beschermde diersoort zoals de bever aan de orde is. In gesprekken hierover wordt verwezen naar de vermeende afwezigheid van de ‘regiorol’ van de provincies. Ik kan als burger noch als beleidmaker ontdekken wat in deze de rol van de provincies is of zou moeten zijn. Dezelfde klacht, of misschien misplaatst excuus hoor ik als het gaat over de bestrijding van exoten.
Is er een ‘regierol’ van de provincie? Zo ja, wat is deze en hoe krijgt die in een concreet geval (bevers en de dijk van het Drongelens Kanaal) vorm? Zo nee, ligt hier niet een taak van de provincie als toezichthouder?

Thanks for your blog post. Some tips i would like to bring up is that laptop or computer memory should be purchased if the computer still cannot cope with that which you do with it. One can put in two RAM memory boards of 1GB each, for example, but not certainly one of 1GB and one of 2GB. One should check the car maker’s documentation for one’s PC to ensure what type of ram is needed.
