Geacht Dagelijks bestuur,
Eind juli heb ik middels een filmpje aandacht gevraagd voor de al vanaf 2011 slepende kwestie van de noodzakelijke verbetering van de dijk langs het Drongelens Kanaal nabij Waalwijk.
Ik kreeg toen via de secretaris/directeur te horen dat de overdrachtsgesprekken met Rijkswaterstaat in een afrondende fase waren. Nu hoor ik dat al vele jaren eerst als lid van het DB en nu als AB lid. Dus ik geloof er niet meer zo in. Recent ben ik weer ter plaatse wezen kijken nadat bestuursleden van de vis club mij over de schades aan de dijk hadden aangesproken.
Lopende vanaf de Bovenlandse sluis is het binnen enkele honderden meters al duidelijk de dijk is in verval. De westeroever is op sommige plaatsen al bijna een meter afgekalfd. De grasmat is verre van optimaal en op tal van plaatsen zijn beversporen te zien en een verbijsterd aantal gaten van ingestorte toegangsgangen van minimaal 2 beverburchten. Hier is afwachten of Rijkswaterstaat ooit tot rede komt niet meer acceptabel. Dit vergt een aanpak en desnoods het aan de schandpaal nagelen van de verantwoordelijken bij Rijkswaterstaat.
