Werkzaam:
Als zelfstandig landbouwer met akkerbouw en vollegronds groenten, gangbaar.
Akkerbouw bestaat uit granen, graszaad, consumptieaardappelen, suikerbieten, industrieconservengroenten, plantuien, zaaiuien, knolselderij, winterpeen. Vnl. eigendom met soms losse pacht/deelteelt. Het bedrijf daardoor minimaal 53 ha. Ervaring met zoogkoeien, schapen, teelt en afzet vollegronds veilinggroenten, zoals broccoli, radicchio rosso, groene asperges.
Ervaring als freelance taxateur o.a. van gewassen.
Mede-eigenaar en medeverhuurder van 2-tal winkelpanden en 2-tal woonappartementen en B&B-appartement.
Relevante activiteiten en bestuurlijke activiteiten buiten het werk (chronologisch):
1) Als jongere bestuurlijk actief in KPJ-afdeling Zevenbergen (plattelandsjongerenorganisatie) als o.a. secretaris, eindredacteur, etc., destijds Brabants grootste afdeling. Was ook op provinciaal niveau actief in een uitwisseling met jongeren uit de Derde wereld (periode1986-1994).
2) Bestuurslid van een jongerenkoor geweest (Penningmeester) (periode 1989-1992).
3) Columnist geweest in een agrarisch weekblad (Zuidland van toentertijd NCB en LLTB) (Periode ca. 1995-1997).
4) Succesvol quizkandidaat geweest in diverse landelijke TV spelletjes, zoals Weekendmillionairs, Een tegen 100 en Miljoenenjacht(periode 2000-2006). Kandideer mezelf soms nog. Meer dan leuke neventak. Toonde geen camera-angst te hebben en de zaal te enthousiasmeren.
5) Verkiesbaar geweest voor de Tweede Kamer der Staten-Generaal in mei 2002 en januari 2003 voor Leefbaar Nederland. Heeft voor de campagnes van die Kamerverkiezingen activiteiten georganiseerd (o.a. m.b.t. biologische landbouw). Daarnaast deelgenomen aan een digitaal verkiezingsdebat van Nieuwgrazer.nl, m.b.t. landbouw, natuur en milieu als ‘deskundige’ van die politieke vereniging. Heb dat debat gewonnen, waar melding van gemaakt in landbouwvakblad de Boerderij van 28 januari 2003 en diverse websites. Hieraan deden ook toen zittende en oud-parlementariërs mee. Gewonnen dankzij “heldere stellingname en duidelijke argumentatie”, volgens de organiserende website.
6) Bestuurlijk actief geweest voor landelijke politieke vereniging Leefbaar Nederland met ooit destijds 2 volksvertegenwoordigers als laatste secretaris, alvorens het bestuur en de leden besloten de politieke vereniging op te heffen. (aldus geschiedde in 2007, zie archief Rijksuniversiteit Groningen). Iets opheffen getuigt van de boel netjes achterlaten dus van goed rentmeesterschap. Zelf wilde ik dat dit een relevante laagdrempelige middenpartij zou worden, niet-populistisch.
7) Bestuurlijk actief als secretaris van Stichting Dorpsraad Zevenbergschenhoek van de gemeente Moerdijk en in die hoedanigheid ook lid geweest van de burenraad van het Industrieterrein Moerdijk van het Industrie en havenschap Moerdijk (periode 2007- heden).
8) Voorzitter statutair zelfstandige vereniging ZLTO-Drimmelen en verantwoordelijk afdelingsbestuurslid m.b.t. verenigingen, PR en duurzaamheid. Voor het voorzitterschap ZLTO-Drimmelen al 5 jaar bestuurslid. (2001-heden).
9) Huidig columnist Nieuwe Oogst. Na eerst columnist te zijn geweest bij alleen ZLTO Nieuwe Oogst. Spraakmakend columnist met een mening (Leest mijn columns!).
10) Medeoprichter boerenomgevingscoöperatie, Coöperatie Zonzeelse Wind in nabijheid A16. Penningmeester en woordvoerder. De boerenwindcoöperatie streeft naar lokale binding in de energietransitie, door burgerparticipatie via sociale wind (2014-heden).
11) Actief in klimaatwerkgroep NAV (Nederlandse Akkerbouw Vakbond). Daar vertel ik ook de integraliteit die we moeten hebben met andere landbouwsectoren (en met LTO) (2015-heden).
12) Actief in dorpstafel Zevenbergschenhoek van de gemeente Moerdijk vnl. m.b.t. Wind A16, sociale participatie revenuen windmolens, 380 kV. De dorpstafel moet op korte termijn als vereniging Stichting Dorpsraad Zevenbergschenhoek vervangen.
