Algemeen
- De prioriteit van het Waterschap Brabantse Delta (WBD) moet liggen bij de uitvoering van de kerntaken:
– zorg voor droge voeten (de dijken, kaden en gemalen moeten ons als bewoners van het gebied voldoende waterveiligheid garanderen en wateroverlast moet zoveel mogelijk voorkomen worden);
– zorg voor voldoende water (om verdroging van de natuur tegen te gaan, genoeg water voor de landbouw, peilbeheer voor scheepvaart- en recreatievaart);
– zorg voor water van goede kwaliteit voor de diverse functies van het water (landbouw, natuur en recreatie) en zuivering van verontreinigd water.
- Focus op kostenreductie en kosten efficiëntie om de lasten voor de burgers, ondernemers en bedrijven zo laag mogelijk te houden;
- Meekoppel-kansen met andere overheden zoveel mogelijk benutten, dus gebruik maken van de voordelen van “werk met werk- maken”. Dit kan de natuur, de recreatie en de sportvisserij zeer ten goede komen.
Inzet
Het Waterschap moet te allen tijde verantwoording kunnen afleggen wat er met de middelen van de belastingbetaler is gedaan. Waar het om gaat is een functionele en doelmatige waterschapszorg, die betaalbaar blijft! Daarvoor wil ik mij in het bijzonder inzetten.
Lijst 3 Ons Water is een kieslijst, geen politieke partij. Wij kunnen dus een onafhankelijke afweging maken en de kandidaten kunnen ieder hun eigen accenten aanbrengen. Vanuit mijn relevante opleiding, opgedane gebiedskennis en bestuurlijke ervaring met waterschapszaken, ligt mijn focus op:
- Kostenbeheersing (dat zie ik als een verplichting jegens de belastingbetaler);
- Functionele waterschapszorg (in principe alleen kerntaken);
- Doelmatigheid (efficiënt onderhoud en verantwoorde, toekomstbestendige investeringen);
- Verantwoording nemen voor de huidige situatie en de kosten niet doorschuiven naar latere generaties;
- Samenwerking met andere overheden als dit wederzijds voordelen biedt.
Mijn uitdaging is “met hetzelfde geld, meer doen”!
Ik wil graag de vertegenwoordiger van Roosendaal en wijde omgeving zijn in het Algemeen bestuur van Waterschap Brabantse Delta en uw belangen behartigen. Luisteren naar wat de achterban vindt en toegankelijk zijn, is daarbij voor mij vanzelfsprekend. Om verkozen te worden, heb ik wel uw voorkeursstem nodig! Ik heb tot nu toe veel inbreng in de vergadering van het Algemeen bestuur kunnen leveren en kan dat met uw steun, de komende 4 jaar weer doen. Ik zal mij gegarandeerd voor uw belangen inzetten, want uw belangen zijn ook mijn belangen!
