De dijken, onze dijken, de dijken van het waterschap. Eén van de kerntaken van het waterschap Brabantse Delta. Maar ook het zuiveren van het rioolwater, de waterhoogten en de bescherming van de natuur. Zij doet dit niet alleen. In de voortdurende veranderende waterwereld is momenteel sprake van een intense samenwerking met waterschappen onderling en gemeenten. Ook de gemeente Drimmelen.
In de gemeente Drimmelen ben ik werkzaam in het prachtige werkgebied van het water. Zeg maar gerust in de breedste zin van het woord. Hier kwam ik, jaren geleden voor het eerst in aanraking met het waterschap. De interesse was snel gewekt naar dit overheidsorgaan. Vandaar dat ik in 2005 mee heb gedaan met de waterschapsverkiezingen. Op eigen titel ben ik destijds gekozen in het algemeen bestuur. De vorige ronde heb ik door studie helaas over moeten slaan. De MBA is echter met goed gevolg afgerond en ik heb weer tijd en energie voor wat anders. Een rol in het bestuur van het waterschap past wederom perfect in het plaatje.
Stem daarom op 15 maart op ONS WATER.
