In de morgen een heisessie met onder andere individueel en groepsonderzoek (kleurentest) door My Motivation Insights naar onze drijfveren. Mooi om te ontdekken wat je eigen drijfveren zijn en hoe die passen in het team waarin je functioneert.
kwalitatieve nieuwbouw aan het water gemeente Geertruidenberg
In de avond een informatieavond over het dijkverbeteringproject Geertruidenberg/ Amertak waar ik de opening verrichtte en voorkwam in een vertoond filmpje over het project. Er was een mooie opkomst en goede indringende discussies over het project, het water en dijkbeheer in de directe omgeving. Als waterschap proberen we nadrukkelijk de burgers en bedrijven te betrekken bij het project en hun ideeën voor het project en mogelijke meekoppelkansen (werk met werk maken) te inventariseren en in het project proberen te passen. Hierbij moet niet uit het oog verloren worden dat het waterschap in de eerste plaats verantwoordelijk is voor de waterveiligheid en voor andere zaken mogelijk andere overheden of bedrijven betrokken moeten worden. In de morgen een werksessie in het kader van het project “water in de tuin” waar centraal stond een voorbeeld project uit te voeren in drie her in te richten straten in Bergen op Zoom.
In de middag de laatste bestuursvergadering van het Regionaal Archief West-Brabant. Per 1 juli treden er een aantal nieuwe gemeenten toe tot deze organisatie en is het waterschap uitgetreden. Ons waterschap heeft nu al haar archieven en dat van al haar rechtsvoorgangers ondergebracht in haar eigen archiefruimte in Bouvigne. Als trotse vader van de co-auteur Alexander van der Kallen van het boek “Opgravingen in Bergen op Zoom” heb ik bij die gelegenheid de collega bestuursleden en de directeur en de notulist een exemplaar uitgereikt van het boek.

In de middag het bestuurlijk overleg inzake het dijkverbeteringproject Geertruidenberg/Amertak met de wethouders van de betrokken gemeenten en een vertegenwoordiger van Rijkswaterstaat over de voortgang en planning van het project.
