Bestuurlijk overleg met wethouder Jan van Groos van de gemeente Waalwijk. Agendapunten waren onder andere: het buurtwaterfonds, de handreiking kinderboerderijen en klimaatbestendig waterbeheer, de keuzewijzer stadswateren, de voortgang nieuw poldergemaal, het project regionale keringen, de Kerkvaartsehaven, Haven VIII, 1e Zeine, de samenwerking SWWB en het streeknetwerk Vitaal Leisure Landschap. Bij de rondvraag werd voltrots door een ambtenaar van Waalwijk een innovatieve 3D geprinte bol (Goflow) getoond, die menige verstopping van een stuw kan gaan voorkomen. De ontwikkelaars zijn bezig om een dergelijke bol in klein formaat te ontwikkelen voor toepassing op platte daken om verstoppingen van een afvoer te voorkomen en het mogelijk te maken dat ook platte daken een bijdrage kunnen gaan leveren bij het waterbergen/vasthouden en zo het beperken van wateroverlast. De vinding is nu genomineerd voor de RIONED- innovatieprijs 2017. Mijn complimenten voor de ambtenaren van de drie gemeenten en ons waterschap die dit idee uitgewerkt hebben.

Diverse portefeuillehoudersoverleggen over onder andere het dijkverbeteringsproject Geertruidenberg/Amertak, de nota dynamische keermiddelen en de voorbereiding van een presentatie voor Probusgroep de Markiezaten. Ook werd de opening voorbereid van een waterberging in Oosterhout.
9 november
In de middag een aantal bijeenkomsten in Tilburg. Eerst een bestuurlijk overleg inzake de gebiedsvisie Tilburg Gilzerbaan. Daarna de ondertekening van een intentieovereenkomst tot realisatie van een vijftal ecologische verbindingszones in het zuid-westen van de gemeente Tilburg. Hiermee lopen Tilburg en het waterschap Brabantse Delta vooraan om, in het kader van het B5 aanbod, 500 hectare nieuwe natuur aan te leggen (met een beroep op het Groen Ontwikkelfonds Brabant) en snel tot realisering van deze EVZ’s over te gaan.
Daarna fractie en de vergadering van het Algemeen Bestuur met als agendapunten onder andere: de begroting 2017, de belastingverordening 2017, diverse mandateringen, het activa en reserve-en voorzieningenbeleid 2016, het waterbodembeleidsplan en een uitvoeringskrediet voor aanvoervijzels in de zuivering Nieuwveer.

Bestuurlijk overleg met wethouders Bea van Beers en Ad van Beek van de gemeente Dongen. Agendapunten waren onder andere: de handreiking kinderboerderijen en klimaatbestendig waterbeheer, de keuzewijzer stadswateren, het extra defosfateren op de zuivering Rijen, klimaatadaptatie, ontwikkeling de Beljaart, Pukkemuk, natuurcompensaties, de overdracht van vijvers en het project ‘sloten, oevers en dijken op orde’.
