Motivatie kandidaatstelling
In 1975 heb ik bewust gekozen voor een baan in het “water”.
Ik ben 43 jaar werkzaam geweest met het Waterbeheer. Eerst als analist voor het onderzoek van watermonsters, later als toezichthouder WVO (Wet Verontreiniging Oppervlaktewater),
heb ik veel ervaring opgedaan met de Handhaving.
Bij Defensie heb ik veel ervaring op gedaan met de daadwerkelijke uitvoering ofwel het veldwerk op het gebied van bodem, grond-, hemel-, afval- en oppervlaktewater.
Bij Defensie heb ik ook de ervaring opgedaan met het fenomeen van gehandhaafd te worden.
In bestuurlijke zin heb ik ervaring op Rijks-, Gemeentelijk-, Waterschaps- en verenigingsniveau.
Wateroverlast en de droogte hebben “water” weer de plaats op vele agenda’s gegeven, dat een goed Waterbeheer verdient. Water is van levensbelang voor mens, dier en plant.
De mens heeft dus een zorgplicht voor de toekomst.
Na mijn actieve loopbaan in het waterbeheer hoop ik met mijn ervaring uit het verleden, in de steunfractie, een bijdrage te kunnen leveren voor een goed waterbeheer in de toekomst.

2009 tot heden : Lid steunfractie Ons water.
Tevens vanaf 1969 diverse bestuursfuncties binnen verschillende verenigingen.
